About New Beginnings Child Development Center
Martha M. Flores is the owner and founder of New Beginnings Child Development Center. Born and raised in the small town of Eagle Lake, Texas, Martha has dedicated her life to serving children and families through faith, education, and compassionate care. She is the proud mother of five children and grandmother of twenty-three grandchildren, whose love for family has inspired her lifelong passion for early childhood education.
In August 1997, Martha turned her vision into reality by opening the first New Beginnings Child Development Center in Eagle Lake, Texas. Built on a foundation of faith in God, hard work, and gratitude, the center has grown into a trusted resource for families and has proudly served Colorado County for nearly three decades.
Guided by God's grace and a steadfast belief in His plan, Martha expanded her dream by opening a second New Beginnings Child Development Center in Elgin, Texas, in September 2019. Since then, the Elgin campus has proudly served families throughout Bastrop and Travis counties, providing the same high-quality, faith-based early childhood education that has become the hallmark of New Beginnings.
Martha is deeply grateful for the warm welcome she has received from the Elgin community. She remains committed to sharing her passion for nurturing young children, partnering with families, and creating a loving, Christ-centered environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive. Her vision continues to shape New Beginnings Child Development Center as a place where faith, excellence, and a love for children guide everything we do.

New Beginnings Child Development Center is a family-owned and operated early learning center dedicated to providing exceptional care and education in a Christ-centered environment. Our faith is the foundation of everything we do, guiding our commitment to nurturing each child's spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
At New Beginnings, we are more than a childcare center—we are a place where young minds are inspired to learn, grow, and thrive. Our passionate educators complete extensive professional development and are committed to creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are proud to be accredited through Texas Rising Star and to have earned the prestigious Four-Star Quality Rating, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education. Our teachers utilize the Frog Street Curriculum alongside the Pinnacle Faith-Based Curriculum to create individualized, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that meet the unique needs of every child.
In addition, we implement the Conscious Discipline approach, which promotes emotional intelligence, positive relationships, and self-regulation. This research-based framework strengthens communication between families and educators, empowers children to express themselves respectfully, and equips them with the skills needed to make positive choices, resolve conflicts, and achieve behavioral goals.
